Is it still considered a polar bear dip in July??
Since it was about 12 degrees and there was snow on the beach...
I'm voting yes.
I was told the anticipation was bad... and it was. I was told the water would burn... and it did.
I was told that when I got out I'd be warm... that was a lie!
What a rush... I would do it again.

OMG...so much fun. You in for next year. Think Jen will have to come up next year for a visit and we totally will have to do it again!
lol I've done it 3 times now, my polar swimming days are over. Your all on your own next year. What a wonderful hubby you have Morena, waiting with the towel!
Yeah! We all did one in 2007 right after the start of the new School year.. it was crazy! If I remember correctly, the water temp was just 0.6 degrees.
Although I didn't have a nice towel waiting for me when I emerged from the freezing water .. I did have a nice warm RCMP truck (which was wonderful cause I was freaking cold).
It should be law that EVERYONE has someone waiting with a towel for them! And hot chocolate. And a sauna.
It's exciting to watch but I don't know if I could do it. But I am on the wimpy side. But if I DID do it, I would brag about it every day for years.
