Oliver Proofing

What's that saying about necessity being the mother of invention? We have many, many of the usual baby proofing items around the house but because of the design of our kitchen, they just don't work. So, I go with what works even if it isn't pretty.

The bottom two are O approved.

Nice job!

We had the kid proof latches on the inside of the cupboards, but Hunter just learned to push and pull hard enough that they would open. Eventually they all broke off and I just gave up. Anything dangerous is now in the upper cupboards and I have learned to look for my tomato paste in the toy bin now!!

Our little guy managed to smash most of the baby locks, and he is ever so proud when he does.

the duct tape drawer is funny!

we have one of those latches that Kara is talking about. so far they are working well, the kids have tried many times to yank it but i made it super hard for them to do it. that might work for your drawers since oliver wont be strong enough to break it just yet, just in case he breaks it.

i have extras, just let me know if you want them. i have no use for it.

Those latches don't work in our cupboards, they are too deep or something and the latches don't catch. The duct tape works well and stays sticky for a long time so you don't have to change it often. Cheap too!
