O's first pumpkin

Oliver and I carved our Halloween pumpkin today. I was kind of thinking that he might really get into it so I stripped him down before we began. No such luck. That's why you're getting this picture rather than the one of him covered from head to toe in orange goo. It never happened, he just banged the spoon while I scraped the inside.

You may notice the pumpkin's unusual cut as it's larger than you usually see. There is a reason for that which will be revealed in time. Can you stand the suspense? Don't get too excited but come back tomorrow to check it out.

Because you're going to have him sit in it all night, with the top carved as a cap?

I hope Megan is right because that would be super cute!!

Hunter was the same last year. He freaked out when I dumped the pumpkin guts on him.

Mikaela (age 5) and Braedon (age 4) will still not touch the pumpkin goo :) I hope there is a pic of Oliver in it :)

Cute!! We haven't even gotten pumpkins up here yet, so I don't know if my girls will even get to try. I have a guess as to why the large hole...we will see if i'm right!

where did you get the pumpkin? the best i can do in pang is to snag one of those long pale gourd/squash things...doesn't really work out too well.
