Ready for winter

This is Oliver's new parka. I'm very pleased with it for the most part but I'm still learning. The sleeves are a little shorter than I'd like and I'm not sure how that happened. I measured it and I tried it on him... but yet, there are his wrists. I don't know how these things happen. I'm still new at making things that are not rectangle (curtains, duvet covers) and figuring out how to adapt a pattern to the right size is a process for me. Maybe next time I won't have to cut out 3 versions before I get it right. I guess I'll have to find him extra long mittens to close the gap.

That's adorable!

I bet he grew that one inch just before you put the jacket on him :)

I agree, the coat is beautiful and Oliver definitely grew the inch before you put the coat on him... darn kids :)

It's too wonderful!! Do you want me to send up some baby cuffs?

Just add an elastic cuff to the end! The jacket looks amazing!

Thanks Jen but don't bother. The whole thing is smaller than I meant to make it so he's not going to fit into it very long. I'm also heading south soon if I change my mind and I can ge them myself.

That jacket is awesome. Can't you limit his growth for this winter? :)
